Morobe Mission president, Pastor Kua Nugai, and his secretary, Pastor Enosh Enopa, received 0.288 hectares of land today from members of the Tumua Seventh-day Adventist Church for the relocation of the Markham 2 district headquarters.

The district headquarters, which is currently located at Ragiampun village, has run out of land space since the establishment of the new Adventist High School on the same mission land. Plans have already begun to relocate the district headquarters to Tumua to provide ample space to accommodate the recently established institution.

The ceremony today was witnessed by leaders and pastors in the district as clan representatives declared their decision to give the land to the mission to accommodate the relocation of the Markham 2 district headquarters. “The land belongs to the Lord, therefore giving it back to the Lord for His work is the least that we can do from our hearts as a token of appreciation for all that the Lord has done for us,” stated a member of the clan.

Among those who attended the event today was the current district director of Markham 2, Pastor Micah Akui, the church pastor of Tumua, Minister Maureen Akui, pastors, elders and leaders from various churches in the district.
